Welcome to Jackson Glass Works, Inc.

 Founded in 1934 by Lloyd James MacCready, Jackson Glass Works, Inc. now boasts of three generations of family ownership.  First opened at 337 Water Street in Jackson, it later moved to 300 S. Louis Glick Hwy.  In 2001, the City of Jackson purchased the Glick Hwy property to accommodate the new, Consumers Energy Headquarters.  At that time, Jack MacCready and Mrs. Sherman L. MacCready constructed the new Autoglass and Commercial and Residential Glass facilities at 555 S. Cooper.  This new location is only two blocks from both of the previous downtown locations.

 Lloyd's sons, Jack and Sherm, took over the reigns in the mid '50's and in the early '90's grandsons George MacCready and Jay MacCready took charge.

 George, who earned degrees in business administration and engineering, heads up the Commercial and Residential Glass Division this includes industrial glass replacement as well as new construction. 

 Jay, with a marketing degree, runs the Auto Glass Division which has one of the largest windshield inventories in the area.

 George's brother Sherman B. MacCready, with a degree in Business Data Processing, supports the accounting effort as Secretary/Treasurer.

 A hands-on OWNER PRESENCE is the difference at Jackson Glass.  Both Jay and George strongly emphasize fast service and fairness while maintaining quality products and workmanship at competitive prices.

 Have you ever walked into a store or business and felt the frustration of not being able to talk to knowledgeable person when you had a question or the person wasn't there who could take care of a problem you had? We all know that problems can sometimes arise in any service-oriented business, but at Jackson Glass, you can be assured that you won't have to deal with a "part-timer" or a "manager" if you should have a question or a problem.  Because of pride in family ownership, there is a vested interest in making sure that you, as a customer, will be taken care of in a courteous and speedy manner.   And there will always be an owner there with the authority to take care of anything!
